As I am planning for the month of April, I thought about sharing how I stay organized with such a hectic schedule. I have a part-time job, go to school full-time, in a sorority, and blog. I truly believe in order to be successful, you must be organized. The main and simple thing that helps me stayed organized is a planner. I put EVERYTHING in my planner: work schedule, sorority events, upcoming posts for Instagram, you name it. I honestly never commit to anything until I look at my planner first. I even color code everything. For example, one of my sorority's colors is green. Therefore, everything Kappa Delta related is written in green. My mom would probably never believe this, but it is true. I like to have everything organized so I am not as stressed, missing deadlines, or forgetting about events.

My Bloom Daily Planner keeps me organized and has me planning to "bloom". In this planner, there are several sections to work on your goals. They even have a whole page dedicated to goal tracking using the acronym: bloom. B: be inspired, L: love yourself, O: outline your vision, O: organize priorities, and M: make it happen. There are vision boards, weekly scheduling, a page for your website logins, and many more cool features. Also, I took pictures of the planner before I put all my information in it for privacy reasons and mainly because I am not the best writer.

One of my favorite things about this planner is that each month has an uplifting and encouraging quote. This month's quote is "The secret is: There is no secret. You just have to put one foot in front of the other". This is so true. No matter what your field is, just keep pushing. You will get there eventually if you just keep putting one foot in front of the other. However, one tip I will share that has been crucial for me is putting information in my planner as soon as I know about it. I get easily distracted. So, if I don't put it in my planner as soon as I know about it, I will most likely forget. I also like to check my planner at least every other day. This keeps me on track and helps me know what all I need to prepare for.

When we were traveling to Greenville, I could not find hardly any blog posts or Pinterest pins for "Instagram"my locations. This inspired me to write one myself. We Took To the Woods

When we were driving around looking for places, I knew we had to stop here. I loved everything about this location. We actually did not go inside this store, but we did snap some pics out front and on the side. The address for this location is: 106 E Stone Ave. Greenville, SC 29609.

Greystone Antiques

I loved location as well. The ivy wall with the distressed brick made me fall in love. The address for this location is: 1500 Augusta St, Greenville, SC 29605.

The Old Cigar Warehouse

This is my favorite location of the whole trip. Looking back, I wish more than anything that we could have gone inside. The address for this location is: 912 S Main St. Greenville, SC 29601.

Tandem Crêperie & Coffeehouse

This was hands down the cutest coffeehouse I have ever been to. Inside, outside, and even the food was just picture perfect. 10/10!!! The address for this location is: 2 S Main St. Travelers Rest, SC 29690.

The Rainbow Heart Mural

There is actually no name for this mural that I could find. I seriously searched and searched trying to find it. It is right to the left of The Bombshell Lounge. The address to The Bombshell Lounge is: 7 W Stone Ave, Greenville, SC 29609.

There is no name for this location either. It was just a cool wall behind Tree House Cafe & Studio, a coffee shop we visited while being there. The address for this wall is: 27 S Main St, Travelers Rest, SC 29690.

This past weekend I got to experience the Travelers Rest/Greenville Area. My friend and I headed down that way because our boyfriends' senior year opening weekend. I really wanted to switch it up a little. Normally when I go on trips, I always just get a hotel. However, on this trip I got to experience a bed and breakfast for the first time ever thanks to Swamp Rabbit Inn. I was so excited to stay in a bed and breakfast, and Swamp Rabbit Inn really exceeded my expectations. Our room was adorable! We had our own private bathroom and private entry to the pool. The kitchen was outrageous. In kitchen, you will find these amazing danishes every morning. They were so delicious!!! This bed and breakfast was very close to some our favorite spots on the trip. We were less than a mile away from the cutest coffee shop called Tandem. They had the "Instagrammy" lattes and delicious crepes. We also were only like 3 miles away from Furman's baseball field, which was such a convenience for us girls.

Hey y'all! It has been awhile... One of my resolutions is to utilize my blog more. So, I wanted to get on here and share my recent SheIn purchases and experience. If you are interested in purchasing anything in my pics, just click on that picture!

I love the star trend this year, so I grabbed this star cropped sweatshirt for $25. It is the BEST.

This cropped teddy hoodie is amazing. I basically lived in it for days. It is so soft and incredibly comfy. Might I add that it is ONLY $14. It comes in two other colors. I am getting the white one as soon as I can.

When I saw this jacket, I knew I had to get it. It is super trendy and adorable. I will definitely be wearing it to some MSU games this spring semester.

Okay, this sweater may be my favorite purchase from SheIn so far. It photographs so well and is just gorgeous. I know some boutiques price this sweater anywhere from $50-60. I bought this sweater from SheIn for $26; a steal!!!

My thoughts on SheIn have definitely improved throughout the years. I remember shopping with them just last year and was very skeptical. Now, I feel comfortable purchasing from there. Their quality is so much better. If you are still questionable, people are very quick to add reviews as well.

After I posted that I was getting a lash lift and tint, I received a ton of DMs on Instagram. So, I thought I would write a post with all the details and my personal thoughts. Laryn contacted me a few weeks ago wanting to partner up, and I could not have been more thrilled. I have always been so insecure with my lashes since they are super blonde. I have always felt like I couldn't walk out of the house without mascara. After doing this lash lift and tint, my life is changed.

For some reason, I thought this process would hurt. It did not at all. I could have easily fallen asleep while Laryn was working her magic. The lash lift and tint process takes about up to an hour. I went on Tuesday around 11 o'clock and was finished well before my 12:30 class. Laryn is located in Salon & Spa in the Kroger Plaza. The lash lift and tint is less expensive than lash extensions and has minimal aftercare. The only aftercare is to avoid wearing eye makeup for 24 hours after and using oil-free makeup remover. It is great for short or long lashes. The lift and tint lasts anywhere from 6 to 8 weeks depending on your lashes. Prices are $50 for a lift, $15 for tint only, and $65 for both. If you tell Laryn that I sent you, you will get 15% off your purchase!

My personal thoughts:

This was the first time I have ever gotten a lash lift or a lash tint. I know I haven't been through the 6 to 8 weeks yet, but so far I am in love. I would most definitely do this again. I wish I would have gotten this done this summer. Like I said earlier in my post, I am so insecure about my lash color, and mascara and water does not do well together. I just got out of the shower and my eyelashes are still black!!! I couldn't be happier with the results. Laryn is a perfectionist as well. I did end up putting mascara on this evening just to see what it would look like, and I love it so much. The lash lift makes me look more awake and makes my lashes look longer. All in all, I am in love. I would definitely recommend getting this lash lift and tint done. What a more perfect timing to do it too??? Labor Day weekend is right around the corner. I know most people go out to the lake for Labor Day, and I am so glad I don't have to worry about mascara running down my face or looking like a naked mole rat.

Anxiety. Depression. Two words I never thought would be factors in my life so heavily as they are right now.

I struggle with the fact that even though I have an amazing family, beautiful friends, a career path that I’m in love with, two incredible jobs, and graduation coming up in just a few short months, I’m living in a state of highs and lows.

But these types of things don’t discriminate.

I had no idea, but I have been dealing with these two illnesses for years now, and they have just gotten progressively worse.

I wonder why I feel so terrible some days and over the moon others. I can’t give you a reason why I feel this way, I don’t have one - and that’s one of the most frustrating parts. I got angry quite often and still do sometimes, thinking, “People in this world have it so much worse than you, you shouldn’t be wallowing, you should be helping them.”

Little did I know, this mind set would only cause my anxiety and depression to escalate.

Some of you may know, especially those who I’m closest to, that the past few years have taken its toll on my family, health wise. I’m extremely blessed to still have my mom with me after her battle with breast cancer. Shortly after her diagnosis, both of my grandfathers passed away within months of each other - both of whom I was very close with. All of a sudden, at the age of 17, my world seemed to be falling apart, but I had to be there for my family and especially my mom. Needless to say, I had to grow up very fast, and therefore, I developed coping mechanisms that were detrimental to my mental health. But I was 17, a senior getting ready to go to college, I didn’t pay much attention to my mind and what I was doing to it.

I moved out at 17, and I started college. I thought getting away would fix things, especially since my mom was in remission at that point. Unfortunately, even though my first year was incredible and lived up to my expectations, I carried those demons with me.

My sophomore year of college was completely different. I developed severe anxiety, and that caused my eating problem to develop as well. I was eating one meal a day, and then some days it turned into only a few bites a day. I completely lost my appetite a few times. I didn’t know why, and of course, I didn’t really talk about it much. Because in my mind, the more you talk about something, the more real it becomes. Of course, as a result, I lost quite a bit of weight, and at the end of my spring semester I thought summer break would help. School was really stressful and summer was where I could recoup and get my life back on track. But I’m sure those reading can already guess, that wasn’t the case. My eating problem was still present, and it slowly manifested itself into my diet. Unfortunately, I saw it as an effective way to lose weight, and to keep that weight off. I knew this wasn’t healthy, but I couldn’t force myself to eat more than one meal a day.

My junior year started, and I was told that junior year would be my toughest year of college. And they were right. My classes were difficult and my anxiety only continued to grow because I ignored it. I had started eating a little bit more, but it still wasn’t to where it should be for a 20 year old who also picked up the hobby of CrossFit that same semester. My anxiety wasn’t my focus, but it was still ever present in my everyday life, and eventually I hit rock bottom in the spring of my junior year. My classes were challenging, I had picked up an internship, and also continued to work a steady 6hrs a week at my job on campus. Not to mention trying to have a social life, and continue to workout at my CrossFit gym. My anxiety got to a point where it was crippling, and I slowly developed mild depression. I would have meltdowns, more often than I had before, and I couldn’t seem to focus on anything. Towards the end of my semester, my roommates, who are my closest friends in the world, were hanging out in my room, like a normal Friday night in our apartment. I had mentioned that my anxiety was so bad that someone suggested I go to the doctor, but I didn’t think I had that big of a problem. They both looked at me and told me that my anxiety ruled my life in more ways than I had even thought. They told me that therapy could be a great option for me. Of course, I was hesitant. But I realized how hard it must of been for my roommates to sit back for months, and watch me destroy myself, and they seized their moment to lend a hand. And I can’t begin to thank them enough for that. I soon started to go to therapy, and I have continued it for a little over a month since the end of the semester.

Today, as I’m writing this, I still struggle with anxiety and depression, and tendencies that come along with them. I more recently have struggled with suicidal thoughts when my anxiety attacks or depression gets out of control. I still struggle with self esteem issues, eating more than one meal a day, and seeking approval from others. I always say that I have my good days and my bad days. This is still an everyday struggle for me, and for so many others.

Luckily, I have amazing people surrounding me and helping me through it, and they’ve led me to lean more on Jesus. My co-workers make going to work something I look forward to everyday. My bible study group has been one of the greatest blessings to my life. My therapist is a great source of warmth and understanding. My roommates always make me laugh, and stay on top of me about my eating habits. My friends continue to be great areas of support for me. My sister has helped me understand more about what Jesus wants for us in this life. And my parents have constantly shown me love, and remind me of how much I mean to them.

I don’t want my depression and my anxiety to rule my life, and battling them has been one of the toughest things I’ve ever had to do.

One of the hardest lessons I’ve had to learn, is one I heard in an amazing sermon on Nehemiah. The lesson was to reject the “I’m okay” narrative. This constantly runs through my mind, especially on my bad days. Not only does it remind us that we’re allowed to have bad days, but that we’re supposed to have bad days so that we can see Jesus in our darkest moments as the friend and Father that He is.

I don’t know why this is a battle God chose for me to face. But I find comfort in knowing that He hasn’t left me and He never will. And even though it’s hard to put all of my trust in Him, I know He won’t let me down.

If you’re struggling with anxiety or depression, please talk to someone. It’s something that I refused to do until I had to, don’t let yourself hit rock bottom. Open yourself up to those who love you, and tell them what’s going on. Also, be there for other people, you never know who needs to talk. Check on each other. Look for signs, and be active in one another’s lives as much as you can. One of the greatest things you can give to someone is your time, so always be ready and willing to listen. And never forget to not only give The Lord your problems, but to thank Him for everything you have in your life.

Something that we always used to say when my mom was doing her chemo treatments was the saying, “God is good all the time, and all the time God is good.” Even on the days where I can’t seem to find any positives, I still know that God is extremely good to us.

What a crazy ride life is! I never would have thought I would be where I am today. It is amazing how everything just works out. In fourth grade, my best friend and I made these extravagant plans to move off and get our own apartment decorated in pink and zebra. Even though the whole apartment thing did not happen for us, we did somehow end up in Nashville together. Who would have ever thought?!

This past weekend, Kortney and I decided to meet up for brunch and then take some pictures for a certain boutique that had sent me some cute goodies. On our way to brunch, we ran into an event hosted by Kortney's favorite skincare brand, Philosophy. They told us to make sure we watch out for their scavenger hunt later on that day with a local blogger. Long story short, we ended up finding the blogger, Mrs. Hunter Premo. She has the sweetest soul, y'all. She gave me some great advice for blogging. Her husband even took these pictures for me.

It is so cool to see how God works. I am so thankful for where He has placed me. At first, I was so anxious to leave my family and make the move to Nashville for the summer. On several different occasions I thought about backing out, but for some reason I felt like God really wanted to me to do this. So, I put all my faith and trust in God, and headed off to Nashville. Boy, I am so glad I listened and trusted in Him. I have the best job ever with the most amazing company. I am surrounded by Bible verses, Christian music, prayer request books, and other amazing uplifting things at all times during my shifts. My co-workers are all so incredibly nice. Side note: literally almost all of my co-workers are from Kentucky! How cool is that? I get to see my best friend almost every week. I live with some of the sweetest people on Earth. I could go on and on and talk about how perfect everything is and that I would not change anything, but I do still struggle with missing my family. They are my comfort. Whenever I do get down about being so far away, I just have my daily talks with God. I almost instantly feel better.

I do this with just about anything now. I have been going through some stuff lately. For the longest time, I would try to solve everything on my own. It became very clear that doing this did not help. It felt like I was going around and around in circles: going nowhere. Then, I began praying more, reading more, listening more, and I can just tell a major difference. All the things I have been struggling with seem much smaller. I have more confidence in myself. I feel more myself and so much happier on the inside. I used to look at myself in disgust for several reasons. Now, I understand that I am made in God's image and that he loves me unconditionally. Something as simple as reassuring myself those things made me feel whole again. If you are struggling with self-love or self-worth, please feel free to talk to me about it. I may not be an expert, but you should never go through these things alone. That is another thing that has helped me through my journey as well. My high school friend and I are reading "Search For Significance" together; we have weekly Facetimes. We talk about what we read, check up, and whatnot. It is always nice to have someone there to listen and are goin through similar things as you.

Being in Nashville, I am sure people would think that you would stray away from God and His word. However, I have done the exact opposite. I truly feel closer to Him. I know our relationship has definitely gotten stronger.

No matter where life takes you, just know you will always have someone to lean on. He will guide you in the right direction, if you just listen. I was worried about getting the right images for this blog post for Peonies and a Sparrow Boutique. Happy hump day! I hope everyone is having a fantastic week so far. I know I have! Today, I got a call about the job I have been wanting for a while now located in Franklin, TN. Therefore, I will be a Tennesseean for the summer. I am super excited to be working for such an amazing company: Altar'd State. They have the cutest clothes, accessories, home decor, etc. Definitely look them up if you haven't heard about them.

This past weekend I made a little trip to Nashville, TN with my best friend, Taylor, to see our other best friend, Kortney. On Saturday, we drove down to 12 South to eat and take some pictures. I know a lot of people like to travel to Nashville for a mini vacay in the summer. Happy {almost} Easter! I am so happy it is spring finally. It is finally daylight even after 6 o'clock now. I am starting to see things bloom again. I feel like I am so much happier in the spring and summer time. I just wanted to write a short post about some Easter outfit options for you guys! Happy Fri-yay! With district and regional tournaments the past two weeks, my wonderful friend and photographer, Shauna Steele, was a little busy. However, we got to sneak in a few pictures for New Frontier Outfitters the other day! It was freezing outside, but well worth it. I honestly believe this have been one of the longest and most stressful weeks of my life. With two quizzes, three exams, several assignments, work, sorority events, and trying to get pictures in for my blog, I barely had time to breathe. However, it is so important to take time for yourself. What sounds so simple, is actually difficult to do at times. I personally know how easy it is to get so stressed out you never want to come out of your room. I used to do this all the time. I would get in moods to where I would never want to socialize, go to the gym, or do anything. Now, even in my busiest weeks, I always try to make time for the gym at least 3 times a week, go grab lunch with a friend, or watch an episode or two on Hulu. It makes me feel so much better about myself.

Life can really get to you sometimes, but you need to be able to take control of it.

Since I am constantly reading and studying during the semester, I don't read for enjoyment as much. However, in the summer I love reading. I am huge on romance novels. I am very basic when it comes to the books I read. Nicholas Sparks and John Green write my favorites. There is honestly nothing like reading a romance novel on the porch in the summer. I get carried away sometimes in the summer. I once read a whole book on our back porch in one sitting. I also really enjoy fishing, hiking, and traveling. It is just the little things in life that make me happy.

I hope everyone had an amazing week. For next week, I challenge you to take some time and do something you enjoy. Find a hobby. Go for a hike. Read a book. Grab lunch with a friend. Hit the gym. As I said in my last blog post, one of my favorite things to do is to look at clothes online. Whether it is scrolling through Pinterest, "keeping up" with the Kardashians' latest outfits, or looking at clothes on different clothing websites, I am constantly looking at clothes. This is how I get inspiration for my own style. That being said, I was thinking about the upcoming and current trends for this spring and summer the other day. I thought I would write some of them down on my phone for fun. Then, I thought why not write a post about them and upload some pictures with links so you all can shop them!

The first trend I want to talk about is stripes, polka dots, and plaid/gingham. I know they have obviously been around for a while now, but I am just seeing more and more of them. I think it is SO cute for spring and summer. I don't know why, but I think polka dots have a feminine touch to them and I love that they are making a "comeback". Stripes are also adorable and can be very flattering. I am loving the plaid and gingham trend as well. I think you can do so much with those patterns. Some shoe trends to look out for this spring/summer are mules, loafers, Doc Martens, and platform sandals. I’m loving mules!!! I’m not sure why, but I’m obsessed. I will admit, the loafers aren’t my favorite. However, I live for some platform sandals. I think they are adorable. Here are some of my favorites.

Another trend I am obsessed with is a blazer. I think they are so cute. My favorite way to wear them are with matching shorts, a cute bralette underneath, and maybe a fanny pack. I would even pair them with some Doc Martens or a similar style boot.

Some of my favorite upcoming accessory trends are fanny pack/belt bags, circular bags, and small, colorful sunglasses. I have seen all of these on Pinterest, all over clothing websites, and on several celebrities. Also, fanny pack/belt bag is only $4 right now!

One of my favorite things to do is shop/look at clothes online. Being a college student with a budget, it is mostly consists of me admiring different trends and looks. However, when I do have some money for clothes, I like to spend it wisely. This can include stops at thrift stores, such as Goodwill or online visits to SheIn, Boohoo, etc. Thankfully some of the "trendy" styles now are vintage clothes. Instead of paying hundreds of dollars for some older Levis, Tommy Hilfiger items, or Champion hoodies, I just go to a local Goodwill or thrift store. You never know what you are going to find! Some of my pieces in my closet are from thrift stores.

When being on a budget, you sometimes have to get creative. I truly enjoy this. I am sure it would be much easier to fork out the money for whatever you want, but creating or making adjustments to a piece of clothing is so much fun. For example, in the first picture above, instead of buying a pair of new jeans for the uneven hem jean look, I just grabbed an older pair and cut them myself. This saved me tons and gave me something to do. I also do this with denim skirts and shorts too. I haven't bought a pair of jean shorts from a store in YEARS. I either get them from a yard sale or go to Goodwill and cut some jeans up. The jeans shorts in the middle picture above are from a yard sale. The ones in the bottom picture above were originally bootcut jeans from Goodwill.

Another one of my tricks is to shop online at stores such as TJ-Maxx, Boohoo, Forever 21, SheIn, Zaful, etc. These stores have trendy clothes at affordable prices. I know a lot of you have questioned the reliability of some of these stores, such as SheIn or Zaful. I was very skeptical at first as well. However, they are definitely not scams. It may take 5-7 business days, but you will get your order. Some of my tips when buying clothes from these websites are you must measure yourself, read reviews, pay for shipping insurance, and remember you do kind of get what you pay for. Some of these stores do not go by US or UK sizes, so it is very important to know your measures. You can also read the reviews for quality purposes. Also, I know SheIn has free shipping and returns. Therefore, if it doesn't work out, you can just send it back. However, I always pay the $2.99 for shipping insurance. You never know what can happen, especially when it is coming overseas.

Let's talk about the outfits above real quick. I just picked a few pictures of some of my outfits from the past that were affordable. The red and white checked romper is from Zaful. You can click the picture to shop it! The oversized denim jacket is from Goodwill. The second outfit is from Boohoo and Forever 21. I ordered a lot of sweaters from Boohoo this year, and I'm in LOVE. They were incredibly cheap and great quality. The last outfit is from a store called Gabe's. I would describe the store as an even more inexpensive TJ-Maxx. This romper was seriously like $5. I just paired it with a white bralette and some sandals.

Some more things I do to save money is join loyalty programs, sign up for e-mail offers, shop at stores with student discounts, or look up coupons online. These are all ways to get more bang for your buck. Joining a loyalty program can save you tons! I signed up for NikePlus awhile back. With this loyalty program, I get free shipping and free returns. Signing up for e-mail offers can also save you $$$. You can normally get 10-25% off. Student discounts run around 10-15% off too. Then, if all else fails, look up coupons online. One of my favorite sites/apps is the RetailMeNot. You can use it for more than clothes too. All these little things you can do may not seem like a lot, but they will add up for some major savings.

My last tip is to be patient. I will hardly ever pay full price for anything, because sales are happening all the time. I know it is sometimes hard to wait for an item to be discounted, but most of the time trends stay around for more than one season.

Hello beautiful people! I feel like it has been a lifetime since I have published a blog post. I have missed it so much. After the new year, I had to deal with some personal things. Going through all that made me realize just how important it is to cherish your family, close friends, and God's love. Never take the people who mean the most to you for granted. Always tell them how much you appreciate them. It is such a small gesture, but it means the world. Anyway, I am super excited to be back and am more than ready to keep this blog filled with new material.

Since it has been freezing out and there aren't a whole lot of places to take pictures outside in Morehead, I had to think outside the box. I looked all over Pinterest for some inspiration and found that people were taking pictures in laundromats. I absolutely loved this idea. As soon as I saw these pictures, I immediately texted my friend, sorority sister, and amazing photographer, Shauna. As always, she was totally down for it. Since starting this blog, my goal was to forever live outside my comfort zone. Let me tell you, this was definitely one of those times. Just imagine the looks we were getting... However, I think it was totally worth it. I am so glad we did it, even though it wasn't the most comfortable time.

I couldn't decide what outfit I wanted to take pictures in, so I just did both. To me, they definitely have the 90s vibes. This Tommy Hilfiger Jeans sweatshirt is definitely screaming 90s. I love how Tommy is making a comeback. I remember looking at some of my baby and toddler photo albums and everyone wore Tommy. I saw this sweatshirt at TJ Maxx, and had to get it. It is very comfortable, and I love it. For an even more 90s look, I paired this sweatshirt with my "mom" or "boyfriend" jeans. Then, I just put on some white Converse and headed out. Also, huge shoutout to Sierra Lykins, another one of my sorority sisters, for letting me borrow her Converse. I left mine at home, and haven't been back to grab them.

This other outfit isn't necessarily 90s, but I liked it. It is just a basic white t-shirt from Walmart. I just tied it up for a more feminine look. This tie up knot is seriously so simple. All you have to do is grab two pieces of the shirt and then tie it in a knot. I put on this bandana like choker. This was actually a belt I wore in the 90s. I am thinking it was from like a cowgirl outfit or something. Anyway, it is super old and I just wrapped it around my neck twice and tied it in a knot. I know chokers were huge in the 90s and maybe are even bigger now. Many people have been wearing bandanas as chokers too. I paired this shirt and choker with some American Eagle high waisted jeans and white Converse.

I hope you guys really enjoyed this post. I had so much fun taking pictures for it. It was seriously a blast. I hope to be posting once a week or at least once every two weeks. Sometimes it is very challenging to get posts up due to school, work, and other obligations. Please just be patient with me. I promise I'm not quitting this or giving up any time soon. As the year winds down, I sit back and reflect. 2017 has been a life changing year for me. I moved off-campus, went on several trips, changed my major, drove to Atlanta by myself, made new friends, began working at a local boutique, started my own blog, and many more. If one thing is for sure, I have definitely pushed myself out of my comfort zone. It is challenging sometimes, but it has made me grow a person. If you would have told me this time last year that I was going to start my own blog, I probably would have laughed in your face. I have always wanted to do one, but never had the nerve to do so. My main goal for 2018 is to keep pushing myself out there so I can be the best version of me.

Now, let's talk about this outfit. I paired one of my favorite sweaters with a pair of overalls, a beanie, and some L.L. Bean boots for a comfy and casual look. This may not be the most glamorous look, but it definitely is one my favorites.

My absolute favorite thing about this look is the beanie. I am loving beanies this year!!! I had always looked super weird in any type of hat, but it was because I would always keep my hair parted to the side. I have learned it looks the best when your hair is parted down the middle. This was a life changing discovery for me. I can now go out and about, even if my hair is on day 3 of not being washed, and still look cute. I just pop on a beanie, and away I go.

I am forever wishing overalls never go out of style again. I am certain I will always love them. They are so cute, and make it incredibly easy when picking out what to wear. I paired them with my L.L. Bean boots and a white sweater. I think any sweater or flannel would look perfect with a pair of overalls. It is all about your own personal style. Also, it was below freezing yesterday, so I added this plaid blanket for some warmth.

For some reason, I am absolutely loving ponchos this year, especially the turtleneck ones. I think they are perfect to wear this holiday and winter season. They are so cute, yet so comfy. As you could probably tell by the title, this post isn't exactly all about clothes, shoes, or accessories. However, with finals coming up I haven't had a lot of time to go out and take pictures for a post. I thought I would switch it up a little bit. Let me know if you like it, and possibly doing more posts about certain trips I take!

It is crazy to think a little over a year ago I had never even been to this place. However, when your best friend and boyfriend live close by you find yourself traveling to Nashville often. On fall break last year, I went to Nashville for the first time ever to visit my absolute best friend. On this very same trip, I met the love of my life. You could say Nashville is a little special to me.

A lot of people message me asking what they should do when they travel to Nashville. So, I thought I could write a post about my favorite things to do when being in the famous Music City! You can seriously never run out of things to do here. Whether you are a college student, family of 4, or a retired couple, there is anything and everything to do here.

Before I start, let's talk about my outfit in the picture below. It is honestly one of my favorite outfits I have to wear for fall. I am loving the chestnut and rust colors this year. Also, one of my favorite things to do this year is wear a sweater with a denim skirt. I think it is so cute and trendy!

Entertainment:

Grand Ole Golf

My mother and I brought my brother along with us, so we had to do some things that would entertain a 15 year old boy. Therefore, we went to Grand Ole Golf. They had 3 different putt-putt courses, an arcade inside, and go-karts outside.

Laser Quest

This is a live action laser tag place. It is downtown in Nashville. It is on 2nd Ave N, right beside The Melting Pot. The sign is very small and would be easy to miss if you weren't looking. The inside is super cool. They also have a Key Quest too. However, you do have to call ahead in order to play. I would also recommend calling ahead for laser tag as well if you plan on going later in the day.

Madame Tussauds Wax Museum

This was probably my favorite part of our fall break trip this year that I went on with my mom and brother. We almost decided to skip out of this, but I am so glad we did it!! It is mind-blowing how real these wax figures looked.

Centennial Sportsplex

Jake and I went here over Christmas break last year to go ice skating. It was so much fun! I definitely recommend coming here if you are going to Nashville this winter. I think it is a cute tradition to go ice skating every year around Christmas or the new year.

Sight-Seeing:

12 South

This is probably one of my favorite places in Nashville. It is seriously one of the cutest communities ever. This is where you will find the "I Believe In Nashville" mural, "Make Music, Not War" mural, the floral mural, Draper James, Sprinkles Cupcake ATM, and more. This fall they had the most adorable farmers market. They had pumpkins, gourds, and mums. 12 South has my heart!

The Gulch

Here is where you will find the "What Lifts You" mural, cute boutiques, and more of the famous murals. I honestly haven't been to the Gulch many times. Actually, the first time I went was this summer to go see the "What Lifts You" mural. I definitely plan to go back so I can go shop at some of the boutiques I have recently found out about, like e.Allen.

Centennial Park

You will find the famous replica of the Parthenon here. You can actually go inside and tour it. Every time I have went it has always been after 4:30, which is when they close the inside down on most days. This park is huge, containing many walking paths and even a pond.

Food:

Frothy Monkey

This restaurant is located downtown Nashville. It is hands down my favorite place to eat here... Every time I have been here the line to order is at the door. The building is so cute. I would recommend eating upstairs by the windows if you can. I always get the "Bob". It comes with whole-grain pancakes and two sides. For my sides, I get fruit and bacon. It is seriously the best. They have tons and tons of different coffee drinks too.

Demos'

Demos' is a steak and spaghetti house. It reasonably priced with great food. I can't remember the exact name of the meal I get, but it is like chicken Parmesan. Then, I get broccoli as my side.

Mike's Ice Cream

I love this place!! It is located right across from Wild Horse Saloon. They seriously have the best ice cream. I always get the TN Fudge flavor. It is delicious!

The coolest thing about Nashville is you never know who you are going to run into. Last year at Christmas, Jake and I went downtown one night. Come to find out Brett Elderidge was dressed up as Santa Claus walking around that same night. The day after my mom, Landon, and I went to the pumpkin market, Thomas Rhett, his wife, and kids were there. Even just last weekend, Jake's sister ran into Kid Rock! So, if you do decide to head to Nashville, make sure to be on the watch for some celebrities.

Even though everyone, including myself, has Christmas on their mind, Thanksgiving is still not here yet! Thanksgiving is actually one of my favorite holidays. It is one of the few days of the year that all of my family comes together and eats plenty of delicious food. I am at my happiest when we are all together. For Thanksgiving dinner, I know that my family likes to dress up. However, I realize others would rather be comfy while filling their faces and bellies. Therefore, I decided to do two looks!

As soon as I saw it in the store, I knew I had to have it! I love the lace up details on the side, making it very trendy.

I paired a stack of Erimish bracelets, available at KaeLynne's, with this look. I am pretty plain when it comes to jewelry. However, these bracelets are perfect for me. They are not super flashy, yet are stylish and adds that extra oomph to an outfit.

These booties are also from KaeLynne's. I am a true 7.5, and the 7 fit me perfectly. They have several different styles of booties, tall boots, duck boots, etc. I think adding this bootie to my outfit gives it an overall more dressy look. I think everyone needs at least one pair of booties in their closet. Booties are hopefully never going out of style!

I am loving this casual and comfy Thanksgiving look. This baseball tee paired with the tall boots are perfect together. You can find them both here in Morehead at KaeLynne's Boutique. Wearing a t-shirt while still looking cute and festive is a win-win situation. Just a little heads up, I usually wear a 7.5 in most shoes. However, the 7 in this style was my perfect fit.

It is finally sweater weather here! I have been waiting to wear fall clothes forever it seems like. The choker sweater trend has been around for a while now, but I love it. In my opinion, it is a very easy and classic look. I am also loving the distressed details on this sweater. These details give this sweater a more edgy look. Homecoming at every school is such a special time. Here in Morehead, it is considered as another holiday. Several of our alumni come back to celebrate and reminisce when they attended Morehead State University.

Around this time of year, it is always hit and miss with the weather. My freshman year it was very chilly, so I wore a 3/4 sleeved dress with a scarf and boots.
